Smart Grid Collaborative
The energy industry is at a tipping point – facing a paradigm shift in the way that electricity is produced, delivered and used. In order to provide electricity that is reliable, affordable and clean, the electric grid is getting smarter.
In 2009, Adica chaired an Executive Forum on Revolutionizing the Smart Grid. Forum participants from industry leading regulators, utilities, visionaries and solution providers discussed a wide spectrum of smart grid issues: policy, technology, standards, transmission & distribution, renewables, battery technology, transportation, security, legal, IT, marketing programs, customer behavior, and software solutions. One clear finding of the forum is the need for a smart grid collaborative.
A smart grid collaborative between electric grid stakeholders representing utilities, technology providers, researchers, policymakers, and consumers is required to define, implement, test and report on smart grid solutions.
Adica has launched a smart grid collaborative called the International Collaboration Program on Smart Grids (ICPSG). The primary goal of the ICPSG is to accelerate revolutionary change by encouraging that smart grid solutions of one country are replicable in others. For additional information visit www.adica.com
